Divine Order: Misalignment Dangers and the Path to Restoration (Part 3)

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking… Titus 1:5a NKJV

In this third and concluding blog introducing the important subject concept, I’ll present some issues that invariably follow ignoring the guardrails of Divine Order. Let’s again begin with an examination of our working definition of Divine Order.

Divine Order, which the Most High reveals through the Holy Scriptures, is the governing arrangement of humans in relation to God, each other, the natural realm, and the supernatural according to matters of sequence, original pattern, and prescribed methodology.

We should be greatly concerned that misunderstanding and misemploying Divine Order directly leads to perversion. That’s a strong and image producing word. But “to pervert” can simply mean to stray off course, even slightly. You may recall the concept of parallel lines from your geometry courses in school. Even a slight alteration of 1% will lead to a gross misalignment of the originally parallel lines, given enough distance. The notions of “original pattern” and “prescribed methodology” regarding Divine Order keep the people of God aligned with God’s will and in reach of His power to deal with demonic opposition. My observation is that over the millennia there have been numerous course alterations away from Divine Order that has led to altered forms of godliness and powerlessness (2 Timothy 3:5).

1In the previous blog, we spent some time highlighting the perspective of “sequence” regarding the governing arrangement of humans relating to God (loving and prioritizing Him) and humans relating to each other (the need for anointed authority). When disorder rules concerning these governing arrangements, the perversion that arises is this; 1) the substitution of divinely ordered relational and experiential accord, which furnishes spiritual and mental cognition, for 2) an academic/topical religious affiliation, which dampens and deemphasizes experiential intimacy. We are supposed to have a spiritually maturing relationship with God and humans that we practice religiously, which is to say frequently or routinely. We are not to ceremonially congregate to hear homilies in an obligatory fashion, which negligibly affects the course of our lives.

If you have never or rarely experienced anything supernatural (Mark 16:17-18), experienced direct communication from God in your spirit (John 10:27-28), nor been utilized to influence others towards godliness (Proverbs 11:30), you may have an issue with alignment to Divine Order. This is not an attack on anyone’s sincere intention towards God, but these metrics are taken from the Scriptures to give us an objective view to enable proper self-evaluation (2 Corinthians 13:5a).

We have progressed in our discussion from the silly (Ms. Shirleen in Blog 1) to serious considerations concerning Divine Order. Please take one more look at the definition.

Divine Order, which the Most High reveals through the Holy Scriptures, is the governing arrangement of humans in relation to God, each other, the natural realm, and the supernatural according to matters of sequence, original pattern, and prescribed methodology.

Unless I’m otherwise directed by the Spirit of the Living God, in the upcoming series of blogs we will further discuss various matters pertaining to the Scripture mandated governing arrangements of Divine Order. We want to enable you to be equipped to become what you always have been in the mind of God!

May the Most High bless you, keep you, cause His face to shine upon you, be gracious to you, be attentive and approving of you, and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26)!
